Protecting Your Personal Data

At London Tree Surgeons, we respect your privacy. We are a family-run business with 11 teams operating across the capital, and we understand that when you invite us to quote for work, you are trusting us with your personal details. This policy explains exactly how we collect, use, and protect that data.

We act as the Data Controller for your information. Whether you are a homeowner in Chelsea or a commercial client in the City, we treat your data with the same care we treat your trees professionally and securely.

What Data We Collect & Why

To provide our tree surgery services, we need to collect specific “Personal Data”, which includes:

• Identity Data: Your first name and last name.
• Contact Data: Your email address, phone number, and physical address (where we perform the work).
• Payment Data: If you pay by bank transfer, we process your account details strictly for billing purposes.
• Usage Data: Information about how you use our website (via cookies).

Why do we need this?

• To Quote & Perform Work: We cannot send one of our 11 teams to your site without an address and a contact number.
• To Communicate: We use your email to send quotes, invoices, and appointment reminders.
• To Stay in Touch: As per our Terms & Conditions, when you request a quote, your email is added to our quarterly newsletter list (managed via Mailchimp) to keep you updated on seasonal tree care. You can opt out of this at any time.

We take appropriate security measures to avoid unauthorised access to your data. Your information is processed at our operating offices and on secure servers. We host our website infrastructure with SiteGround Hosting (UK/US), which adheres to strict security protocols.
