London Firewood
At London Tree Surgeons, we believe in the circular economy. We are a family-run business with 11 teams working across the capital every day, which means we generate a tremendous amount of timber from our tree-surgery operations. Instead of letting this go to waste, we recycle 100% of our produce. The best hardwoods are selected, processed, and kiln-dried to create premium firewood for London homes.
Buy High-Quality Firewood From London’s Trees
We don’t sell “wet wood” or chemically treated logs. Our firewood is natural, eco-friendly, and dried to ensure a clean, long-lasting burn. We are proud to hold the Woodsure Ready to Burn Certificate, which guarantees our logs have a moisture content low enough to burn efficiently in log burners, stoves, and pizza ovens without filling your room with smoke or your chimney with soot.
The Right London Firewood For The Perfect Fire
Not all wood burns the same. That is why we offer a range of hardwoods tailored to your needs. We source and process species including Oak, Ash, Beech, Acacia, Cherry, Pear, Apple, and Walnut.
Our process is rigorous. The timber is cut to size on our professional log-splitting machine, bagged, and then loaded into our biomass boiler for kiln drying. We test every batch for moisture content before placing it in dry storage. This attention to detail means you get a product that lights quickly and delivers maximum heat. Plus, because we use 93-97% biodegradable chain oils in our chainsaws, our wood is free from nasty mineral oil residues, making it safer for you and the environment.

Frequently Asked Questions About Firewood
Why is kiln-dried wood better than seasoned wood?
Kiln-drying is a faster and more controlled process than air seasoning. It allows us to guarantee a low moisture content (usually below 20%), which means the wood lights easier, burns hotter, and produces significantly less smoke and tar, which is better for your chimney and air quality.
Is your firewood suitable for pizza ovens?
Yes, absolutely. Our fruit woods (Apple and Pear) and Oak are particularly popular for pizza ovens and smokers because they burn hot and add a lovely, authentic wood-fired flavour to the food.
Do you offer discounts for large trade orders?
Yes, we can supply firewood in bulk quantities. If you need a large delivery (e.g., loose loads or multiple bulk bags), please get in touch with us to discuss significant discounts on large and frequent orders.
