With our 11 teams of well-equipped tree surgeons, arborists, tree surveyors and machine operators, we are highly productive and have a large work capacity.
That said, while we always try to schedule work as quickly as possible, delays are sometimes unavoidable. Delays may occur during busy periods or when external factors intervene.
The winter season, typically October through February, is one of our busiest times of the year. Demand is high, and the weather can be unpredictable, occasionally pushing back job schedules.
Performing tree surgery carries risks, so if the weather is too severe, we may need to postpone jobs to prevent accidents or injuries. Excessive rain can also delay projects to avoid ground damage.
We can use ground protection mats for waterlogged ground, but even they have their limitations, so you will have to weigh up the urgency of your project against the risk of ground damage.
If your project involves a protected tree or one located in a conservation area, please keep in mind that obtaining permission can take up to eight weeks. You can find more information about this process on our tree preservation orders London page.
At London Tree Surgeons, we do everything we can to arrange projects at times that suit you best. If you’re working within a specific timeframe, just let us know, and we’ll go above and beyond to meet your project requirements.

Unless the only access is through your home, we can perform the work entirely from outside.
All the equipment we use is petrol-powered or battery-operated, so we generally won’t need to plug into your electricity supply.
If there’s ever a rare situation where indoor access might be helpful, we’ll always discuss it with you first; however, in most cases, we won’t require access to your home.
We always ensure your property is left clean and presentable after any work or project. Unless agreed otherwise, we’ll remove all waste as standard, tidying up by hand and using leaf blowers and hand tools to clear away any remaining debris.
While we work carefully, larger trees or more involved projects can occasionally cause slight marks or scuffs on the lawn. Even so, we do everything we can to keep this to a minimum. Where heavy equipment is needed, especially on soft or waterlogged ground, we put down protective mats to help prevent damage.
Our team at London Tree Surgeons has earned a strong reputation for leaving every property in excellent condition, often looking better than when we first arrived.
Visit our terms and conditions page for more information about how we work and your rights.
We hold a valid licence for transporting green waste, so you can be confident that we handle everything we remove from your garden responsibly.

If you’d like to keep any of the by-products, such as wood chips or logs, just let us know beforehand. We’ll make sure your quote reflects this and set the materials aside for you.
